- Europe, Federal State? Not so! -

now, more and more the years pass you get a view that Europe is changing. Is changing, in my view, positive. The 'European Union is growing more and more. Founded in the late 50's with the initials EEC (European Economic Community) has had the task of establishing the relationships that were to establish the economic level between the member countries. Over the years, its role has changed. It strengthened the powers of propylene, to become a supranational political system. And 'this operation the EU' s policy that will guarantee a certain evolution in the world. But we need to clarify certain points, because some reporters, like any good ignorant already fired the first page that the EU is an example of the federal state on the American model. Someone already said: ".... it's the United States of Europe ... " !
But still we have not. A federal state is a set of states that joined together, they decide to give life to a central state which only has jurisdiction over certain matters such as communications, international relations, economic affairs and business of war. The United States of America are the obvious example. But L 'Europe, in the present situation is by no means a federal state. The Treaty of Lisbon, which is nearing conclusion, the member countries are trying to create a truly federal state with a constitution and a political-bureaucratic almost like the American model. The media bombard us with this question the mind of a federal state. Well it is better to clarify. We are neither a confederation of states or a federal state. The EU is a union of states that has only one goal: to create a federal state. And I wonder when we will implement this project!
